Perhaps you have always wanted to learn to crochet, but not been sure where to start. Or you learned when you were younger, and have been wanting to give it another go? Well welcome, because I’ve designed this box just for you!
I’m a firm believer that learning is much more fun when you have a project that you really want to make. Practising crochet stitches might be useful, but making rows of stitches back and forth for hours can also be a little, well, boring…
Instead, this box is designed around making a fun and practical item that you will cherish forever, and get to use...
The Granny Glow Up Bag
Designed for complete beginners! In your box you will receive everything you need to make the kit, from the yarn and hook to the yarn needles! You'll receive:

Everyone learns differently, so I always include a video as well as a pattern in my boxes. If you aren’t as familiar with patterns, it’s really useful to have both side by side as you work through the box.
Plus I’ve also designed a special extra booklet for you, the Learn to Crochet booklet, which is a cheat sheet of common crochet terms and techniques which you will encounter alongside video tutorials and step by step diagrams.

I’ve never even picked up a crochet hook before but I wanted to learn a new skill. The video is superb - it took a bit of patience but I’m flying at granny squares now! Looking for some down time so I can pick up my hook daily. Excited for next steps and what’s next. Thanks !!

I loved making my glow up granny bag. The video was really good! Professionally done and very clear. I really like the person’s voice as well! I found the handles tricky to crochet but I really enjoyed making it and happy with my first make. Looking forward to moving on to my subscription box now.

I’ve never done crochet before, and have always found the patterns too intimidating, but with this kit and video tutorial it was so much easier, you can pause and rewind as many times as you need, and i’m even starting to understand the pattern now too. Can’t wait to finish the bag! I picked this one as the design is so cute and something id actually wear 💜

Really enjoyable project. Struggled with the yarn separating and missing pulling through all the threads at some points. The video was really helpful but wouldn’t always play when I went back to watch a particular bit again, although this could be an iPad issue. Overall a great project to keep me occupied whilst recovering from a fractured ankle.

I had always wanted to crochet. Previously i had brought small sets to create animal/foods but had been put off by the patterns which seemed so complicated. I just didnt know where to start. Then I saw Lottie & Albert's beginner box! I can't believe I have made this bag. I was an absolute beginner, never even held a crochet hook before. I took my time, using the how to videos and book, and doing practice before moving on to the bag. Working through the steps of the bag was straight forward thanks to the brilliant step-by-step video. I also referred to the pattern as I went along to help learn how to read patterns. I am so pleased with the finished bag. So my handles are a bit dodgy (I twisted one) but I am so chuffed with myself and will definitely be moving on to a new project with my new found skills.

I absolutely love these boxes! A few imperfections along the way but as a complete beginner, I'm very happy with the result. I absolutely could not have achieved this without the detailed pattern and video instructions. The wool is good quality and I like the fact that not only do you have everything you need supplied in the box, but also an extra little surprise! What is there not to like? Box was great containing everything I needed to complete the bag. Found the video so good which helped me along the way. When I first watched the video I thought I wouldn't be able to do it but was amazed that by following the really clear instructions I DID IT. Really proud of myself. Made one mistake and twisted one of the handles. Won't make that mistake again

This is my first granny square bag and I have so much fun making this! I already have so many projects (a blanket, a book sleeve, pouch and many more) in mind using the same granny squares pattern! I have also sewn in a lining with pocket!

I'm a newbie and I loved doing this bag. The quality of materials is lovely and the instructions are really good. I need the loosen my tension a bit as my bag came out small. I enjoyed it so much I've already bought another box and subscribed to the monthly box. Only negative: I found the Vimeo platform for the videos not great as it wouldn't remember where I'd got to when returning to the project and replaying and moving through the video to key parts was clunky, at least on my phone. Time stamps for each stage would be very useful.

Incredible kit, at one point I really thought I wouldn't be able to finish but I persevered and completed it by using the booklet of stitches and the videos.

I've wanted to learn how to crochet for a good while. This box caught my eye. I thought no way could I, as a beginner do this. I did take the plunge and within a week I had completed my bag. The granny squares were easy and the step by step instructions coupled with the tutorials ensured success. I have now caught the crochet bug and have a lovely bag which I made to put my other projects in! Couldn't be happier.

I even worked out what the pattern meant, as it all looked like it was written in morse code, by following the video guides you made. Having not done much crochet for years and getting confused with American and British terms this box was really helpful in getting me going again. I managed to achieve making the bag not perfectly but quite well.
Im a complete beginner with dyspraxia, so I really struggle to learn new skills but always wanted to learn to crochet. this kit is amazing for that. Something definately went wrong with my tension though!

Really helpful to have everything in one box. Lovely bag. The videos were helpful, however to make it even better it would be nice to have a video specifically showing making this bag like with the blanket. Especially with it behind a beginner set. I enjoyed it so much I went on to buy a blanket kit straight after.

I love it, but I struggle to use my non dominant hand. Not very neat but I have done 4 squares so far and the instructions and videos are great! Hoping to improve and go on to make more things!

I bought this box but then had visitors arrive and stay fir 2 weeks so have only just started. As a complete beginner I was all fingers and thumbs to start with. The videos are super helpful with regard to holding the hook and yarn. I am still fumbling but I can see improvement, patience is the key and practice practice practice. I will achieve this bag, 😁 just not quickly 😁 I would like to add the quality of the yarn and hook is first class making it easier to learn. The instructions are brilliant, pictures, great explanations, and a whole host of videos to give motivation.

Arrived on time, beautifully packaged. Instructions are easy to follow for a complete novice like me. I’m working through my squares slowly, I haven’t made a perfect one yet but that’s ok. I’ll update with a photo when my bag is complete.

Good quality resources all provided together in one neat little box. The video tutorials have been fantastic for developing my ability to crochet. I am only half way through making the 13 granny squares necessary for the project, but already they are becoming neater and my technique more fluid!

I haven’t completed my project yet, but absolutely loving it! As a total beginner, I found the video tutorial incredibly helpful for the first couple of squares and now feel more confident doing the rest with the written pattern. I’m currently recovering from surgery and it’s been a great pastime rather than scrolling, and I’m already eyeing up which project kit to get next! Thank you ☺️
