April - Spots and Stripes Baskets
Shake your pom poms
Do you know what I love? Pom poms. Do you know what I don't love? Making pom poms. Happily, the 24 balls of joy in April's box are ready made for you and inspired the project in this month's box!
Accompanied by two oversized balls of yarn and a chunky hook, April's project is a satisfyingly quick to hook up, and can be used in multiple ways...
We are making
Not one but two chunky baskets, one spotted and one striped. Measuring 20cm x 18cm and 10cm x 18cm, the sizeable baskets are ideal for plants, WIPs, bathroom supplies, keys and change, and anything else you fancy stashing in them!

What's in my curate crochet box this month?
April's box includes...
- 2 x 250g balls of chunky yarn in natural colours
- A signature black and gold hook
- 24 yarn pom poms in oranges, pinks and black
- A spool of thread
- All the accessories you'll need to make the project
As ever, I'll include a printed pattern, step by step photographs and a video tutorial, so no matter how you like to learn - I've got you covered!
I love to create a variety of projects, and so whereas March's box was dainty and detailed, April's project is big and bold, and a quicker make that would also be suitable for someone newer to crochet.
We'll be using just two stitches for both the baskets, working in the round for the base, and then adding pom poms to one of the baskets.
The video will walk you through each part step-by-step, and there is also written instructions and step photographs in the printed pattern, if you prefer to follow those.
Pre-orders for this box will close on 6th April, so make sure you are subscribed before midnight on the close date to be included on our shipping list for this one.
As ever, let me know if you have any queries!
