Wintering hat and mittens

I recently read a beautiful book* celebrating winter and seeing it, not as a season of cold and bare branches, but as an opportunity to embrace rest and refuel for the coming burst of energy spring requires. If you look at winter branches they are not dead, but slowly preparing to bud anew.

This month's project is inspired by those new buds, slow growth and embracing the season as we enter the New Year. Happily, the yarns this month are also named after forests, which felt very apt!

What's Inside the Box?

January's box includes:

  • 3 balls of 100g recycled Aran weight yarn
  • Our signature black and gold crochet hook
  • 4 woven labels
  • A needle
  • The printed pattern with step-by-step photos
  • A video tutorial
  • Plus a few little extras just for you!

What Are we making?

This month we'll be making a hat and mitten set by crocheting in the round and working with post stitches. The yarn is Aran weight so works up quickly and warmly, perfect for a make that celebrates the season of winter.
