Winterhaven box

December's box is here and I have a Nordic-inspired project to help you create the ultimate cosy retreat... for your toes!

Introducing... the Winterhaven box

Crochet along with us in December as we create the Winterhaven Slippers! Using recycled yarns and some fluffy insoles to create a real winter warmer. Plus we're using one of my favourite techniques to create the textured cuff!

Everything you need to make December's project will be included in the box, from the yarns to the yarn needle, hook and fluffy insoles....

With three sizes to choose from (ranging from UK 2.5 -10) these slippers are perfectly customisable to your feet! We'll be learning how to create the base, then add a super simple toe to our slippers using double crochet stitches. Finally, we'll create a lovely fluffy trim to edge the feet of our slippers using one of my favourite techniques, cut loop stitch.

Our yarn this month is a super chunky one (made from recycled bottles, no less!) which means the slippers work up satisfyingly quickly for you to step into the warmth of these Scandi-insprired, super soft slippers in no time.

What will be in my box of winter crochet goodies?!

Our boxes come with everything you need to make the project, plus a 45-60 minute video workshop where I will make along with you. So no matter where you are on your crochet journey or skill level, I've got you!
Included in December's box is...
  • A 16-page mini magazine, including the printed pattern booklet with step-by-step pictures
  • A 45-60 minute tutorial video walking you through the pattern
  • A signature black and gold crochet hook
  • 2 x balls of super chunky recycled yarn
  • 2 x skeins of tapestry wool
  • A pair of fluffy insoles
  • Stitch markers
  • Yarn needle
  • Plus any other accessories you'll need to make the project...!

What skills you'll learn

In December's box we'll be using simple stitches to create our slippers. You will learn:

  • How to create the base of your slippers to your size
  • How to add a simple toe
  • How to create a fully loop stitch trim
  • Finally, how to decorate your slippers

You'll learn all the techniques needed to create the Winterhaven Slippers using our step-by-step pattern with pictures, and there's also a 45-60 minute video to accompany it if you are more of a visual learner.

I've never made anything like this before, is this project for me?

Absolutely! Every one of our boxes comes with a 16-page printed pattern booklet, step-by-step photos and an exclusive video tutorial, typically 45-60 minutes long.

So no matter where you are on your crochet journey, you'll find everything you need to help you make up this month's box.

I'll walk you through each skill and technique in turn in the video, so that we make along together.

Am I tied into a subscription?

Nope! Curate Crochet Box is designed to be super flexible. All our projects are revealed each month before your renewal date, so you can skip a box if it's not your cup of tea, or if you are busy that month. Or you can cancel anytime if you need to - all from your own account.

How do I join Curate Crochet Box?

If you are already one of our subscribers, you don't need to do anything! The box will be posted to your door with everything you need to make it. If you'd like to join, make sure you sign up before 7th December, when orders will close on this box.

Or, if you are looking for a present for the yarn-lover in your life (or yourself, we're not here to judge) you can purchase a 1, 3, 6 or 12 month gift subscription too...
