The Journey to Hogwarts Blanket
I was so thrilled to be asked by Sirdar to design another crochet along! Having loved the Harry Potter books and films for years (we had a Harry Potter theme for the tables at our wedding - my table of friends were the Shrieking Shack...) this was a particularly exciting project to work on.
The Journey to Hogwarts blanket takes inspiration from Harry's very first year, following his journey into the wizarding world and the beginning of everything at Hogwarts. I wanted to capture some of that magic and nostalgia in a crochet blanket, from the first moment he gets his letter (something I dreamed of for years) to the fist sighting of Hogwarts; bringing together moments inspired by the first film in a project that we can create stitch by stitch.
There's something so special about revisiting the beginning of Harry's story, from discovering a world beyond the ordinary to finding a place where he belongs. I hope you'll love crocheting your way through the blanket as much as I've loved designing it!
Over the six weeks of the crochet along, we'll bring the blanket to life a little at a time, with weekly patterns and accompanying videos to guide you along the way. I can't wait to see your blankets taking shape and to share this crochet adventure with you!
