Freelance Crochet Designer / Maker

Role: Freelance Crochet Designer / Maker
Focus: Creating photography-ready samples from a defined brief

Curate Crochet Box is seeking a crochet designer / maker to support upcoming project-based commissions, ideally to work with on a regular, long-term basis. This is a production-focused role: you will take a brief, develop a design, and produce a finished sample suitable for photography and promotion.

Key requirements:

  • Strong crochet skills with experience designing original patterns or samples
  • Ability to interpret a brief and produce a fully finished, polished sample
  • Comfortable with feedback and multiple refinement stages
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage with some product sourcing as needed
  • Attention to detail and professionalism throughout the process

How we work:

  • You will receive a detailed brief with objectives, constraints, and deliverables
  • Work will include defined review stages and agreed rounds of refinement
  • Feedback will be consolidated and provided in writing
  • Any changes outside the agreed brief will be discussed separately

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating a brief into a beautiful, finished crochet piece and can work reliably and professionally to deliver high-quality results.
